White-on-White

I'm submitting this card to the two challenges below. I used Lawn Fawn's Hillside Borders for the wavy cuts and Spellbinders Celebrate dies for the sentiment and the balloon. I really love white-on-white patterns, especially embossing. For this I used a Stampin Up/Sizzix embossing folder.

Anytime. Anywhere.

Still in coffee mode! Having just come back from a camping trip, I'm still remembering how much a nice, hot cup of coffee meant first thing in the morning - or in the afternoon - when you're out in the wild! (OK, even when you're home.) For this card I used Stampin Up's Roughing It stamp set, and fussy cut the fire and logs, coffee pot, and cup. The background is Distress Oxide ink in Fossilized Amber. The distress oxides worked better than I expected on the flames; I added a little Faded Jeans at the base. I also used Faded Jeans on the pot and cup, but to make the cup stand out I embossed it and used a pop-up dot.

I Do Love Coffee

Still catching up with my cardmaking after vacation. There are several challenges I want to join, and the 2017 Summer Coffee Lovers spoke to me! For the background I used paper with a coffee theme from my stash, along with this great Coffee Rings stamp from Your Next Stamp. I die cut the coffee cup, colored it with water color pencils and a blender pen, and embossed it. The sentiment from Cathy Zielske was stamped with Brutus Monroe
detail ink and embossed with clear EP. I colored it in with a gold Spectrum Noir brush marker.

New Lily

It was fun to be on vacation but it feels so good to be back in my craft studio! I missed all my crafting friends, and I was anxious to try some of the new supplies that arrived while I was gone (I love online shopping!). For the background I sponged Distress Oxide ink in Fired Brick over Altenew's Layered Dahlia Stencil A. When that was dry, I placed the Layered Dahlia Stencil B over the top and sponged on Spiced Marmelade. Then I put the card through my Big Kick with Stencil A for embossing. The lily and sentiments are from Concord & 9th's Lily Set. I embossed the lily onto watercolor paper using versafine onyx and clear EP. Next, I colored in with shimmering watercolors and fussy cut the entire flower.
